  1. David Welford says:

I remember Chris well, by his signature glasses and his excellent knowledge of every subject or interest he pursued. He and I shared several A-level science classes, in which we were both enthusiastic and good students, but as I recall he also excelled in almost every subject and had a great intellectual’s mind. I also recall playing bridge with him, Chris Davies, Johnny Bowden, Derrick Hughes and others, when in the sixth form a lot of us played cards in the common room. I have not seen Chris for over thirty years and it is sad to hear that he is no longer with us, yet is nice to know that he was liked, loved and respected by his friends and colleagues.
